Eric Morris is beginning his fourth year as Defensive Line Coach at Barton College in 2023.  Morris came to Barton after spending two years (2017-18) as Co-Defensive Coordinator and Defensive Line Coach and Equipment Manager at Bethany College (Kan.). 

Prior to Bethany, Morris served five seasons (2012-16) as Defensive Line Coach and Equipment Coordinator at Arkansas Baptist College in Little Rock, Ark.  Morris was also run game coordinator and defensive line coach (2009-12) at Lon Morris Junior College in Jacksonville, Texas.

Morris earned his bachelor of science degree from Stephen F. Austin University in 2008 after transferring from Mississippi College and is expected to earn his master's degree in health and human performance at Sul Ross State University in 2021. 

As a player at Mississippi College, Morris was a two-time all-league and D3football.com All-American defensive tackle (2005-06). 

Morris is a member of the American Football Coaches Association and Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
