Zachary Ullrich enters his third season with the Barton College baseball program in 2020-21.

In 2019, Ullrich as pitching coach led the Bulldogs to their most strikeouts (421) in school history while the team ERA dropped from 7.35 to 5.54.  In addition, the opponents' batting average fell from .319 to .287 while four players earned Conference Carolinas Pitcher-of-the-Week honors.  In addition, Colby Shimmel was named a national pitcher of the week after throwing a no-hitter while Dylan Ward broke the school's career strikeout mark.

Ullrich came to the Bulldogs family from Roanoke College in Salem, Virginia, where he was the recruiting coordinator, pitching coach, and first base coach. While at Roanoke, he helped guide the Maroons to an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Conference Tournament Title in 2017. The Maroons also won the NCAA Division III South Regional Tournament. Ullrich also served as the team's strength and conditioning coach.

Prior to his time at Roanoke, Ullrich served as the recruiting coordinator from 2013-2016 at Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. Ullrich held the role of first assistant and pitching coach for the Red Devils starting in the Fall of 2011 through the Spring of 2016.

Ullrich spent three years as the pitching coordinator for the Keystone Nationals in Mechanicsburg, Pa. With the Nationals, he was responsible for organizing practices and workouts for pitchers.

He played baseball collegiately at Mansfield University from 2006-2010, helping the Mountaineers to an NCAA Division II Tournament appearance in 2010. Ullrich received his bachelor of arts in history with a minor in psychology from Mansfield in May 2011. 

Ullrich recently completed his master's in coaching and athletic administration at Liberty University.
