ASHLAND, Va. – The Barton field hockey team (0-2) fell to Randolph-Macon (3-1) by a 3-1 score on Tuesday evening at Nunnally Field.

The Yellow Jackets rallied from a 1-0 deficit with three straight scores courtesy of Janne Roelink (Den Helder, NETHERLANDS), Breea Dresler (Yorktown, Va.) and Olivia Greene (Amissville, Va.).

Randolph-Macon held a 22-8 edge in shots taken while Valentina Ambrogi-Torres (Richmond, Va.) tallied four stops in the setback.

Barton opened the scoring with a goal from sophomore midfielder Mia Ogg (Walkersville, Md.) at the 6:21 mark of the contest – the program's first score of the year – despite the loss.  Freshman goalkeeper Zoie Sema (Centennial, Colo.) made eight saves despite the loss for the Bulldogs.

Barton remains on the road to take on Randolph-Macon on Friday beginning at 4:30 p.m., in Sweet Briar, Va.

Sweet Briar, meanwhile, hosts Hood College on Saturday, September 12, starting at Noon.
