WILSON, N.C. - The Barton men's soccer team (2-6-1, 1-4-1) picked up its first Conference Carolinas victory on Wednesday afternoon in a 4-2 triumph over rival Mount Olive (2-7, 1-5) at the Bulldogs Athletic Complex.
Four players scored their first goals of the year for the Bulldogs - including senior forward
Andrew Herman (Wake Forest, N.C.)'s match-winner in the 44th minute - as the Bulldogs snapped a six-match winless streak in the process (0-5-1 during that span).

Santiago Olivo (Lakeville, Minn.) opened the scoring with a bicycle kick in the box in the 17th minute while senior forward
Hayden Summerfield (Norwich, ENGLAND) added a goal and an assist for the Bulldogs in the win.

Devin Agostinelli (Apex, N.C.) made a pair of saves in the victory.
For Mount Olive, Leon Odongo (Nairobi, KENYA) and Drew Huff (Goldsboro, N.C.) added goals and Kingston Ouellette (Lake Mary, Fla.) made eight stops but suffered the loss in goal. Â The Trojans also ran their losing streak to five matches.
Barton hits the road to take on Erskine on Saturday, October 3, in a league contest on Saturday in Due West, S.C., beginning at 3:30 p.m.
Mount Olive, meanwhile, travels to Young Harris, Ga., to take on Young Harris in a conference contest at 3:00 p.m.
