PEMBROKE, N.C. - The Barton women's volleyball team (5-11, 3-6) couldn't hold a two-set advantage in a 3-2 setback to UNC Pembroke (12-6, 7-2) Tuesday evening at Lumbee Guaranty Bank Court.
The Braves won over the Bulldogs by scores of 22-25, 23-25, 26-24, 25-14 and 15-12 and have now won nine of 10 contests at home so far this year.
UNC Pembroke was led by Addie Decker (Indianapolis, Ind.) with 16 kills while Tyler Patterson (Jacksonville, Fla.) tallied a huge double-double - 28 assists and 15 digs - in the come-from-behind win.
The Braves also totaled 12 service aces in the triumph.

Bailey McIntyre (Mooresville, N.C.) also finished with 16 kills and graduate student setter
Paige Bagwell (Kings Mountain, N.C.) added 23 assists and 18 digs for a big double-double as well despite the loss.

Kylie Simpson (Lexington, Ky.) came through with her own double-double - 12 assists and 15 digs - and the Bulldogs totaled 15 blocks in the contest but the visitors still fell just short.
Barton remains on the road to take on Young Harris in a league match on Friday night in Young Harris, Ga., beginning at 6:00 p.m.
UNC Pembroke, meanwhile, travels to Belmont, N.C., to take on conference-foe Belmont Abbey on Saturday, October 3, starting at 2:00 p.m.
