NEWBERRY, S.C. - The Barton field hockey team (1-4, 0-3) fell to fourth-ranked Newberry (4-1, 3-0) by a 9-0 score Saturday afternoon in a South Atlantic Conference match at Setzler Field.

The Wolves, who beat the Bulldogs by a 10-0 score on Friday, September 4, in Wilson, N.C., had nine different players score for the national runners-up.

Newberry was led by Wieben Dahmen (Bavel, NETHERLANDS) with a goal and a pair of assists as the Wolves held a 32-2 advantage in shots taken.

Newberry's goalkeeper, Kensley Harris (Hampton Falls, N.H.), played the first half and earned the victory while Barton freshman goalkeeper Zoie Serna (Centennial, Colo.) made six stops but suffered the loss.

Barton remains on the road to take on Wingate on Saturday, September 26, starting at Noon in South Atlantic Conference action.

Meanwhile, Newberry hosts Converse on Tuesday evening starting at 7:00 p.m.
