MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. – The Barton men's basketball team (10-14, 8-8) pulled out an 85-84 win over Mount Olive (9-14, 6-9) in a battle of rivals in Conference Carolinas action at Kornegay Arena on Wednesday night.

Jaylen Faber (Columbia, S.C.) led all scorers with 20 points and was one of four players to reach double figures for the Bulldogs.
Faber also hit four treys on the evening including the game-winner with 45 seconds left for an 82-81 advantage. Senior guard
Caleb Reams (Rocky Mount, N.C.) added 19 points on eight-of-12 shooting as the Bulldogs won their second straight contest.
Mount Olive's Jaevian Alston (Louisburg, N.C.) came off the bench to score a team-high 19 points and was one of five Trojans to score in double figures despite the loss.
The Trojans hit just four-of-26 (15 percent) attempts from behind the three-point line in the setback.
Barton remains on the road on Saturday, February 14, when the Bulldogs travel to Belmont, N.C., to take on league-rival Belmont Abbey beginning at 4:00 p.m. Meanwhile, Mount Olive takes on Shorter on Saturday in Rome, Ga., on Saturday starting at 4:00 p.m.
