MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. - The Barton women's soccer team (9-4-2, 6-3-2) suffered a 2-0 loss to rival Mount Olive (6-5-5, 4-2-5) Saturday afternoon in a Conference Carolinas match at Amon Field.

Barton also lost for the first time in seven contests:  the Bulldogs were 4-0-2 in their last six matches.

Mount Olive held a 19-10 advantage in shots taken while Anais Coyne (Mansfield, Texas) earned the shutout victory in goal after stopping five shots.

Barton freshman goalkeeper, Olivia Terranova (Fayetteville, N.C.), made six stops but suffered the setback.

Barton returns home to host conference-foe Francis Marion on Tuesday beginning at 5:00 p.m.

Meanwhile, Mount Olive hosts Chowan in a league affair on Tuesday afternoon as well starting at 4:00 p.m.
