WILSON, N.C. – The Barton baseball team (26-16) fell to Emmanuel (20-22) by an 11-7 score on Sunday afternoon in a non-conference regional contest at Nixon Field.
The Lions' Dobbs Bowden (Lawrenceville, Ga.) finished with three hits and two RBI while Brock Wollin (Cairns, AUSTRALIA) hit the game-winning two-run double in the fourth inning as the Lions completed a three-game weekend series sweep over the Bulldogs.
Barton, which lost its fourth straight game, was led by sophomore outfielder
Gavin Gilmore (Eastampton, N.J.) with a two-run home run and junior first baseman
Caleb Holland (Fayetteville, N.C.) added three hits and a run scored in the losing effort.

Barton hits the road to take on No. 10 Lenoir-Rhyne on Tuesday beginning at 5:00 p.m., in Hickory, N.C., while Emmanuel takes on North Georgia on Tuesday starting at 5:00 p.m., as well in Dahlonega, Ga.
