WILSON, N.C. – The Barton women's lacrosse team (5-3) increased its winning streak to four games with a 12-6 win over Findlay (1-7) Wednesday evening at Electric Supply Company Field and Truist Stadium.

Kate Matuza (Hampstead, N.C.) led all scorers with five goals while senior midfielder
Tamia Marshall (Wilmington, N.C.) added three scores as the Bulldogs broke a five-all tie with five straight goals to take control of the match. Matuza now leads the team in goals scored (20) and total points (27) this season.
Barton's defense forced Findlay into 24 turnovers and allowed just one goal after halftime and held advantages in both shots taken (30-18) and ground balls (27-21) in the victory.
Findlay's Tessa Chuba (Hartland, Mich.) scored a team-high three goals but the Oilers suffered their fifth straight setback.

Avery Gandolf (Medina, Ohio) played the first half and earned the victory while making five saves. Findlay's goalkeeper, Caroline Weber (Galena, Ohio), suffered the loss despite five stops as well.
Barton remains at home to take on Shippensburg on Friday at 3:00 p.m., while Findlay faces Mount Olive in Mount Olive, N.C., on Friday starting at 4:00 p.m.
