FLORENCE, S.C. – The Barton baseball team (9-7, 4-2) rallied from a three-run deficit to beat Francis Marion (11-4, 2-4), 13-9, Sunday afternoon in a Conference Carolinas game at Sparrow Stadium.

Gavin Gilmore (Eastampton, N.J.) finished with three hits and four runs batted in as the Bulldogs came back from a 5-2 deficit after four innings of play to beat the Patriots and take the league weekend series.
With the score tied at 9-9, Gilmore came through with the game-winning, two-run double in the top of the eighth inning as part of a four-run frame for the visitors. Barton senior shortstop

For Francis Marion, Austin Bunn (Kuna, Idaho) hit a three-run home run while Rayth Petersen (Cary, Ill.) (0-1) was tagged with the loss.
Barton hosts Wingate in a non-league regional affair on Tuesday starting at 1:00 p.m., while Francis Marion hosts USC Aiken on Wednesday starting at 3:00 p.m.
