WILSON, N.C. – The Barton women's basketball team (11-14, 7-10) fell to Converse (8-15, 6-10) by an 81-52 score on Saturday afternoon as part of Senior Day at Wilson Gymnasium in a Conference Carolinas game at Wilson Gymnasium.
The Valkyries' Tatiana Brown (Virginia Beach, Va.) led all scorers with 27 points on 13-of-18 shooting and Converse scored the final 20 points of the second quarter to build a 41-20 advantage at intermission and never looked back in winning their third straight game.

Lauren Mingo (Clinton, Md.) led the home team with 20 points in addition to nine rebounds and six assists and became the 20th player in school history to cross the 1,000-point mark for her Bulldog career.
Converse's Elisa Solé Sanchez (Barcelona, SPAIN) and Alexis Becker (Fort Walton Beach, Fla.) both added 14 points as the Valkryies held a 53-34 advantage on the boards in the win.
The Bulldogs, however, shot just 26 percent (17-of-65) for the contest in suffering their fourth straight loss.
Barton hits the road to take on rival Mount Olive in a league contest on Wednesday at 5:00 p.m., while Converse faces Chowan in Murfreesboro, N.C., on Sunday starting at 2:00 p.m.
