WILSON, N.C. – The Barton women's basketball team (7-4) made it five victories in a row with a 60-52 triumph over USC Aiken (3-9) Wednesday afternoon on New Year's Eve at Wilson Gymnasium.

Lauren Mingo (Clinton, Md.) led the Bulldogs with 17 points and added 11 rebounds for a double-double as sophomore guard
Leah Hampton (Richmond, Va.) also hit double figures in scoring – 10 points – in the win.
The Bulldogs limited the Pacers to just 16 percent shooting (four-of-25) from behind the three-point line and forced the visitors into 19 turnovers in the triumph. Mingo also added a team-high five steals.
USC Aiken was led by Mackenna Nix (Temple, Ga.) with a game-high 18 points in the setback. Barton took control in the fourth quarter and led by as many as 15 points – 53-38 with just under seven minutes remaining in the contest – in improving to 3-1 at home this season.
Barton returns to Conference Carolinas play on Saturday, January 3, when the Bulldogs travel to Young Harris, Ga., to take on Young Harris beginning at 2:00 p.m.
