WILSON, N.C. – The Barton men's basketball team (7-6, 3-3) moved over .500 on the season with a dominant victory over Belmont Abbey (1-7, 0-5), 74-46, Saturday afternoon at Wilson Gymnasium in a Conference Carolinas contest.

Sean Quick-Streeter (Columbia, S.C.) both scored a team-high 12 points as 14 players found the scoring sheet for the Bulldogs.
The Bulldogs, who never trailed in the contest, jumped out to a 36-22 advantage at halftime and never looked back in the win. Barton connected on nine treys on the day and held a 41-33 margin on the boards in the triumph.
Belmont Abbey was paced by Khamani Wertz (Charlotte, N.C.) with a team-high 12 points as well but the Crusaders shot just 36 percent (20-of-55) from the floor and turned the ball over 15 times in suffering their fourth straight setback.
Barton hits the road to take on UNC Pembroke on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m., in a league contest while Belmont Abbey faces Converse in Spartanburg, S.C., on Wednesday night starting at 7:00 p.m., as well.
