FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. – The Barton men's tennis team (8-8, 5-2) fell to Emmanuel (13-5, 7-1) by a 5-2 score on Saturday morning at Lions Court in a Conference Carolinas match.
The Bulldogs did earn wins at fifth and sixth singles courtesy of sophomore
Deni Furtado Brlenic (Alvsjo, SWEDEN) and junior
Johan Holgersson (Bromma, SWEDEN). Holgersson is 8-1 in singles play this season.
Holgersson also teamed with junior
Wilhelm Karlsson (Djursholm, SWEDEN) to earn a win over Emmanuel's Georg Stettler (Basel, SWITZERLAND) and Aleksander Simovski (Johannesburg, SOUTH AFRICA), 6-4.
Barton wraps up the regular season on Sunday at 11:00 a.m., against league-foe Young Harris in Young Harris, Ga., while Emmanuel will next compete in the 2024 Conference Carolinas Championship at the Palmetto Tennis Center in Sumter, S.C., on Friday, April 26.
