WILSON, N.C. – The Barton women's tennis team (6-2) shut out Fairmont State (1-5), 7-0, Tuesday afternoon at Ralph L. Fike High School.
With the victory, the Bulldogs pushed their winning streak to five matches.
A trio of Bulldogs – juniors
Tilde Howeler (Stockholm, SWEDEN) and
Silvia Fernandez-Trabadelo (Mataro, SPAIN) and sophomore
Alexandra Saez Lozano (Begur, SPAIN) – all won at singles and doubles to lead the home team.
Barton returns to the court on Wednesday, March 20, versus Francis Marion in the Conference Carolinas opener in Florence, S.C., starting at 2:00 p.m., while Fairmont State takes on Chowan in Murfreesboro, N.C., tomorrow starting at 2:00 p.m.
