WILSON, N.C. – The Barton men's tennis team (2-6) rallied to beat Fairmont State (2-3), 4-3, Tuesday afternoon at Ralph L. Fike High School.
Barton rallied to win the contest in singles competition after dropping the doubles' point. Junior
Johan Holgersson (Bromma, SWEDEN) defeated the Falcons' Hugo Massoni (Valencia, SPAIN), 6-4, 6-4, at No. 6 singles for the Bulldogs which proved to be the match-winner.
With the victory over the Falcons, the Bulldogs ran their winning streak to two matches.
Barton opens Conference Carolinas play on Wednesday, March 20, at 2:00 p.m., against Francis Marion in Florence, S.C., while Fairmont State takes on Chowan in Murfreesboro, N.C., tomorrow at 2:00 p.m.
