FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. – The Barton women's volleyball team (1-11, 0-6) lost to first-place Emmanuel (Ga.) (9-6, 6-0), 3-0, in a Conference Carolinas contest Saturday afternoon at the Shaw Athletic Center.
The Lions defeated the Bulldogs by scores of 25-11, 25-16 and 25-21 to remain unbeaten in league play and run their winning streak to four matches.
Emmanuel was led by Ellie Jackson (Jacksonville, Fla.) with 12 kills, 13 digs and a pair of blocks while Jocelyn Martin (Easley, S.C.) also reached double digits in kills (11) as the home team hit .431 for the contest in the victory.

Hailey Strey (Cape Coral, Fla.) dished out 10 assists to go along with four digs and sophomore middle blocker
Ryan Jeremiah (Atlanta, Ga.) totaled a team-high five kills in the losing effort. The Bulldogs, however, suffered their eighth straight setback.
Barton returns home to take on rival Mount Olive in a league contest Wednesday at 6:00 p.m., while Emmanuel travels to Franklin Springs, Ga., to face North Greenville Wednesday starting at 7:00 p.m.
