TIGERVILLE, S.C. – The Barton women's basketball team (4-9, 3-1) won its third consecutive game with an 81-76 victory over North Greenville (9-4, 3-3) Saturday afternoon in a Conference Carolinas contest at Hayes Gymnasium.

Lauren Walker (Charlotte, N.C.) led all scorers with 30 points and hit all 11 attempts from the charity stripe while sophomore guard
Lauren Mingo (Clinton, N.C.) added 21 points as the visitors saw a 25-9 lead after one quarter of play disappear but were able to pull it out in the end.
Geassy Germano (Americana, São Paulo, BRAZIL) finished with a team-high 16 points for North Greenville, who came all the way back to take a 73-69 advantage with just over two minutes left but eventually fell to Barton.
Barton responded with six straight points to take the lead for good, highlighted by the game-winning field goal from freshman center
Nyla Powell (Rocky Mount, N.C.) which broke a 73-all tie with 37 seconds left. Powell also scored in double figures for the Bulldogs, totaling 15 points on the afternoon.
Barton was aided by its performance from the free throw line – hitting 26-of-33 attempts (79 percent) – while forcing the Crusaders into 15 turnovers. Both Mingo and Powell went seven-of-10 from the charity stripe.
Barton remains on the road to take on Francis Marion in a league contest on Tuesday, January 9, at 5:30 p.m., in Florence, S.C., while North Greenville faces Belmont Abbey in Belmont, N.C., on Tuesday starting at 5:00 p.m.
