TIGERVILLE, S.C. – The Barton men's basketball team (6-8, 3-1) was able to pull out a 76-74 Conference Carolinas road win over North Greenville (5-6, 2-4) Saturday afternoon at Hayes Gymnasium.

Trevon Spencer (Columbia, N.C.) led all scorers with 20 points to go along with 12 rebounds for a double-double and was one of four players to score in double figures for the Bulldogs, who jumped out to an 61-43 advantage with just under 10 minutes and were able to hold on for the win.
North Greenville was paced by Caleb Williams (Atlanta, Ga.) with 15 points but the Crusaders couldn't come back from the 18-point deficit.
Barton senior forward
Jarrian Hancock (Raleigh, N.C.) came off the bench to score 13 points while senior guard
Donaven Hairston (Atlanta, Ga.) added a dozen points as the Bulldogs snapped a three-game losing streak.
Barton also connected on 19-of-23 free throw attempts (83 percent) and blocked seven shots on the afternoon.
Barton remains on the road and travels to Florence, S.C., to take on Francis Marion on Tuesday, January 9, starting at 7:30 p.m., in a conference contest while North Greenville visits Belmont Abbey for a 7:00 p.m., game on Tuesday as well.
