GAFFNEY, S.C. – The Barton men's soccer team (0-2-1) suffered a 2-0 setback to Limestone (2-0-1) Tuesday evening at Saints Field in a non-conference regional contest.
The Saints received goals from Mark Radoki (Biberbach, GERMANY) and Bilal Camara (Orsay, FRANCE) at the 11:34 and 29:54 marks of the first half, respectively, to lead the home team to the win.
Camara's goal was a penalty kick while both scores were the first ones for each player on the season.
Limestone held an 18-7 edge in shots taken while Henrik Dahl (Kristiansand, NORWAY) registered his second shutout of the year in goal while earning a save. Barton sophomore goalkeeper
Steingrimur Gunnarsson (Grenivik, ICELAND) suffered the loss despite stopping three shots on the evening. The Bulldogs continue to search for their first goal of the season.
Barton opens Conference Carolinas play on Saturday beginning at 6:00 p.m., with a home match against Converse while Limestone travels to Tigerville, S.C., to take on North Greenville Saturday at 7:00 p.m.
