FLORENCE, S.C. – The Barton baseball team (22-16, 15-8) split a Conference Carolinas doubleheader with Francis Marion (23-20, 14-11) Saturday at Sparrow Stadium. The Patriots won the first contest by a 3-2 score after rallying in the last inning while the Bulldogs won the nightcap, 5-2.
Game One – Francis Marion 3, Barton 2
The Patriots rallied with two runs in the bottom of the ninth inning to take the first contest of the doubleheader with Caleb Oakley (Mullins, S.C.) ending the game with a sacrifice fly which scored Blake Falor (Saint Augustine, Fla.).

Jared Beebe (Atco, N.J.) in the top of the frame broke a one-all tie for the Bulldogs. Beebe finished with two hits and two RBI in the setback for the visitors.
Francis Marion's Josh Adams (Chesterfield, S.C.) improved to 3-0 on the year after pitching the final two innings and earning the win while Barton junior
Brett Anderson (Milford, N.H.) (2-3) took the loss.

Tanner Halvorson (Eau Claire, Wisc.) improved to 8-2 on the season after throwing his seventh complete game of the season. Halvorson allowed just two runs to go along with six strikeouts. Halvorson and freshman outfielder
Ty Garza (Grosse Ile, Mich.) added RBI doubles in the victory for the Bulldogs.
For Francis Marion, Kollin Crepeau (Fort Mill, S.C.) drove in both runs while Chas DeBruhl (Kershaw, S.C.) fell to 5-4 after suffering the loss.
