SALISBURY, N.C. – The Barton men's tennis team (4-7) saw its five-match losing streak come to an end with a 4-3 victory over Catawba (2-6) Tuesday afternoon at Johnson Courts.
The Bulldogs received victories at singles and doubles play from both sophomore
Johan Holgersson (Bromma, SWEDEN) and freshman
Felipe Mioch (Diemen, NETHERLANDS) in the win over the Indians.
Barton won all three doubles matches to take the point before splitting the singles' competition.
Barton next travels to Murfreesboro, N.C., to take on Chowan in its Conference Carolinas opener Saturday beginning at 1:00 p.m., while Catawba hosts UVA Wise on Saturday at 11:00 a.m.
