AIKEN, S.C. – The Barton men's basketball team (1-5) came up short to USC Aiken (4-1), 88-72, Tuesday evening in a non-conference, mid-week regional contest at the Convocation Center.
The Pacers were led by Jameel Rideout (Philadelphia, Pa.) and Tyler Johnson (Athens, Ga.) with a combined 41 points as USC Aiken won its third straight contest. Rideout totaled a team-high 21 points and connected on five three-pointers while Johnson added 20 points in the victory.

Sean Quick-Streeter (Columbia, S.C.) led all scorers with 28 points on 11-of-15 shooting but it wasn't enough for the visitors.
USC Aiken held a 43-36 lead at halftime and kept its advantage the rest of the way as Barton couldn't get any closer than five points. Senior guard
Reese McDonald (Raleigh, N.C.) added 13 points and six assists for the Bulldogs in the losing effort.
The Pacers also held a 49-33 edge on the boards and connected on 21-of-28 attempts from the charity stripe in the win.
Barton returns home to take on Elizabeth City State on Tuesday, November 28, at 7:00 p.m., at Wilson Gymnasium while USC Aiken travels to Franklin Springs, Ga., to face Emmanuel next Wednesday, November 29, at 7:00 p.m.
