WILSON, N.C. – The Barton football team (4-7, 3-6) wrapped up the 2022 season with a rousing, 51-22 victory over Erskine (2-9, 0-9) Saturday afternoon on Senior Day in a Conference Carolinas contest at Electric Supply Company Field and Truist Stadium.

Jordan Terrell (Ramseur, N.C.) finished with 226 yards rushing and five touchdowns as the Bulldogs rolled up 521 yards of total offense in the victory including 410 on the ground. Terrell finished the season with 1,632 yards rushing and 15 touchdowns including 752 yards in the last three contests.
Erskine's Kevon Catoe (Blythewood, S.C.) cut the margin to 16-15 with a 49-yard touchdown run – his second of the contest – with 3:10 left in the second quarter before Barton reeled off 28 straight points to turn the game into a rout. The Bulldogs responded immediately with a 29-yard touchdown run by Terrell on the ensuing drive to start the run.

Tyler Flippen (Summerfield, N.C.) passed for 111 yards and ran for a score while sophomore wideout
Jackson Perrell (Lexington, N.C.) added an 82-yard scoring run in the third stanza as the Bulldogs notched their season-high in points.

Jay Wheeler (Fayetteville, N.C.) and sophomore linebacker
Matt Smith (Raleigh, N.C.) both led the Bulldogs with five tackles and Barton forced a pair of turnovers in the victory. Erskine finished with the year with nine straight losses.
