WILSON, N.C. – The Barton men's volleyball team (9-8, 7-5) recovered from a mid-match slump and won the fourth and fifth sets to rally and beat Erskine (9-13, 4-8), 3-2, Saturday afternoon in a Conference Carolinas match at Wilson Gymnasium.
Barton won by scores of 25-19, 21-25, 13-25, 25-22 and 15-13 for its second straight victory.
The Bulldogs showed impressive balance with four players with at least 11 kills led by junior outside hitter
Adrian Iglesias (Guaynabo, PUERTO RICO) with 15 kills while sophomore outside hitter
Nathan Chaparro (Glendale, Ariz.) added 14 kills in the victory.
The Flying Fleet couldn't hold on despite the play of Edgerrin Austin (Joliet, Ill.). Austin finished with a match-high 29 kills in the losing effort.

Bartosz Slawinski (Radom, POLAND) added a double-double – 12 kills and 14 digs – while junior setter
Moses Kresch (Hershey, Pa.) dished out 52 assists as the Bulldogs avenged an earlier regular season loss to the Flying Fleet.
Barton remains at home to take on rival Mount Olive on Senior Night on Tuesday, April 6, at 7:30 p.m., at Wilson Gymnasium in a league match while Erskine hosts Emmanuel (Ga.) on Tuesday beginning at 7:30 p.m., as well.
