WILSON, N.C. – The Barton men's lacrosse team (8-4) scored an easy victory over Emmanuel (Ga.) (4-8), 14-7, in the quarterfinals of the 2021 Conference Carolinas Championship Monday afternoon at Electric Supply Company Field at Truist Stadium. The Bulldogs are fourth seed in the tournament while the Lions are seeded fifth.

Seth Mandryk (Stonewall, Manitoba, CANADA) led all scorers with four goals and found the back of the net eight straight times to take a commanding 12-2 advantage late in the third stanza as the Bulldogs beat the Lions for the second time this year.

Mark Crawford (Chesapeake Beach, Md.) totaled five points – a pair of goals and three assists – as the Bulldogs held advantages in both shots taken (43-36) and ground balls (50-25).
Emmanuel, which scored five of the last seven goals of the match, was led by both Devon Roberts (Elk River, Minn.) and Alex Stull (Elk River, Minn.) with a goal and an assist in the contest. In goal, Barton sophomore
Giuseppe Brown (Gorham, Maine) earned the win after making seven stops while Ethan Brundage (Leesburg, Va.) suffered the loss in goal for the Lions despite eight saves.
Barton will now face top-seeded Mount Olive (10-1) in the semifinals of the league championship on Thursday, April 22, at 4:00 p.m., at Pepsi Stadium on the campus of North Greenville University in Tigerville, S.C.
