CENTRAL, S.C. – The Barton men's basketball team (4-6, 2-4) suffered an 88-68 loss to Southern Wesleyan (7-4, 5-2) Monday afternoon in Conference Carolinas action at historical Tysinger Gymnasium.
The Warriors' Ta'Jay Dunlap (Columbia, S.C.) powered Southern Wesleyan to its fifth straight victory with a game-high 32 points. Dunlap also hit seven of the home team's 12 treys as the Warriors raced out to a 40-26 halftime lead and never looked back in the victory.

Malik Bryant (Fort Mill, S.C.) finished with a team-high 20 points and redshirt freshman guard
Marcus Boykin (Clinton, N.C.) added 19 points on eight-of-12 shooting in the setback. The Bulldogs also lost their first game away from home this year. Bryant notched his second straight 20-point outing despite the setback as well.
Julian Cameron (College Park, Ga.) added 14 points for the Warriors, who put four players in double figures and shot 51 percent (31-of-61) for the game.
Barton will look to bounce back on Tuesday, January 4, when the Bulldogs host Erskine at Wilson Gymnasium beginning at 7:00 p.m., while Southern Wesleyan hosts Lees-McRae on the same day starting at 7:30 p.m.
