WILSON, N.C. – The Barton women's basketball team (8-1, 4-1), ranked No. 25 in NCAA Division II, rolled to an 80-55 win over Lees-McRae (1-8, 1-6) Saturday afternoon in a Conference Carolinas game at Wilson Gymnasium.

Sophomore guard Lauren Walker (Charlotte, N.C.) finished with a game-high 18 points and was one of four players to score in double figures for the Bulldogs, who hit eight three-pointers in the contest and forced the Bobcats into 27 turnovers in the win.

Walker hit four of those treys while Barton raced to a 41-22 lead at intermission and never looked back.  The Bulldogs also scored 28 points in the third quarter and led by as many as 36 points – 70-34 with 9:11 left in the contest – on their way to their second straight triumph.
