Box Score WILSON, N.C. – The Barton men's basketball team (13-13, 11-8) stayed red hot with another dominant victory, this time over rival Mount Olive (15-11, 9-9), 84-61, Wednesday evening in Conference Carolinas action at a packed Wilson Gymnasium.
Barton junior forward Isaiah Reddish (Durham, N.C.) led all scorers with 27 points including 21 points in the first half while crossing the 1,000-point mark for his career as the Bulldogs swept the season series from the Trojans.
Senior guard Michael Boykin (Clinton, N.C.) added 18 points as the Bulldogs led by as many as 35 points – 69-34 with 11:08 left in the game – on their way to their fifth straight victory. Barton junior forward Blake Burdack (Melbourne, AUSTRALIA) added a double-double – 13 points and 13 rebounds – while the Bulldogs limited the Trojans to just 30 percent shooting (18-of-61) for the contest.
Mount Olive was led by Darius Spragley (Rocky Mount, N.C.) with 11 points but was the lone player to score in double figures for the Trojans.
Barton hosts Southern Wesleyan as part of its Senior Day on Saturday beginning at 4:00 p.m., while Mount Olive returns home to face North Greenville on Saturday starting at 4:00 p.m., as well.
