Barton men's basketball rolls to its fourth straight victory, 98-60 over North Greenville

TIGERVILLE, S.C. – The Barton men's basketball team (12-13, 10-8) continued its recent surge of late with a dominant victory over North Greenville (11-13, 7-10), 98-60, Saturday afternoon in a Conference Carolinas contest at Hayes Gymnasium.

Barton junior forward Isaiah Reddish (Durham, N.C.) led all scorers with 28 points while senior guard Michael Boykin (Clinton, N.C.) added 23 points and hit four three-pointers as the Bulldogs swept the season series from the Crusaders. 

Reddish is now just 23 points away from 1,000 for his career while Boykin moved into third-place on the school's all-time scoring list for the NCAA Division II era with 1,563 points.  Barton junior forward Blake Burdack (Melbourne, AUSTRALIA) added a double-double – 15 points and 14 rebounds – as the Bulldogs shot 59 percent (38-of-64) in the win.

North Greenville's Spencer Kirkpatrick (Chandler, N.C.) finished with a team-high 21 points but the Crusaders was out from the start and never led in the game.  Barton raced to a 46-24 halftime advantage and never let up.  Barton also held a 38-22 advantage on the boards and committed just five turnovers all contest.

In the next wave of Conference Carolinas games on Wednesday night beginning at 7:30 p.m., Barton hosts rival Mount Olive while North Greenville travels to Banner Elk, N.C., to take on Lees-McRae.
