GAFFNEY, S.C. – The Barton men's soccer team (6-1, 3-1) picked up its fourth straight victory and biggest win of the year so far with a 4-2 triumph over No. 24 Limestone (6-2, 3-2) Saturday afternoon in a key Conference Carolinas contest at Saints Field.  The Bulldogs are off to their best start since a 7-1 mark to begin the 2011 campaign.

Sophomore Ruben Mancio, a forward from Cadiz, SPAIN, scored his team-leading sixth and seventh goals of the year as the Bulldogs rallied from a 2-1 deficit early in the second half to take the win.  Mancio broke a two-all tie with the match-winner at the 59:05 mark of the contest.  Sophomore midfielder Pol Monells (Barcelona, SPAIN) was credited with the assist.

Monells assisted on both of Mancio's goals and tied the score at two in the 57th minute after finishing off a shot in the lower left corner of the net.  Mancio (five points on the day) and Monells (four points) keyed the Bulldogs' offense.

Senior midfielder Tolly Beatson (London, ENGLAND) rounded out the scoring for the Bulldogs, who notched just five shots on the day but found the back of the net on four of them.   In goal, junior Francisco Noguera (Santiago, CHILE) earned the win for the Bulldogs after making three saves.

The Saints received goals from Tristyn de Laaf (Dubai, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES) and Kristian Moore-Cowell (Essex, ENGLAND) but Mirko Ronchi (Cornaredo, ITALY) suffered the loss in goal.  Limestone fell despite holding a 14-5 advantage in shots taken.

Barton next hosts Francis Marion on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m., while Limestone travels to Young Harris, Ga., to take on third-ranked Young Harris on Wednesday beginning at 5:00 p.m.
