Peyton McBride is currently entering his second season with the Bulldogs and first year as Defensive Line Coach in 2025.  Last fall, McBride was a Defensive Analyst and Assistant Defensive Line Coach for Barton.

In 2023, McBride served as a Student Assistant for Appalachian State Football Team, working with the linebackers.

McBride spent the summer of 2024 as an Operations Intern for the Barton Athletic Department.

McBride graduated from Appalachian State in 2024 with a bachelor's degree in commercial recreation and tourism management with a minor in sport coaching.  McBride is a native of Danville, Va., and a graduate of Tunstall High School.

Currently, McBride is a Math 2 and Math 4 Teacher at James B. Hunt High School in Wilson, N.C.
