Marissa Macri, a 2010 graduate of Barton College was namedthe interim head coach of the women's soccer program in January of2011.

Macri served as an assistant coach for the Lady Bulldogs in thefall of 2011.

Macri, a native of Hampton, Va., graduated from Barton with aB.S. in Fitness Management. She lettered for four years for theBulldogs from 2006-2009. The Bulldogs achieved winning records inthree of her seasons in uniform. Macri was named to both theDean’s List and to the Conference Carolinas PresidentialHonor Roll in multiple semesters as a student-athlete.

Prior to returning to Barton, Macri served as an AssistantDirector of Coaching and Staff Coach for the Virginia Rush SoccerClub in Virginia Beach, Va. Macri also spent four years playing forRush during her high school career. She also played for the BeachBreakers Homeschool Soccer Team and was four year Player of TheYear and Tournament MVP award recipient.

Macri is a Certified Personal Trainer and also holds a UnitedStates Soccer Federation ‘D’ License.
