Edward Fernandes enters his first year assisting the women'ssoccer team at Barton College for the fall 2012 season.

Fernandes also serves as an Assistant Professor of Psychology atBarton.

Fernandes is a a former goalkeeper and goalkeeper coachfrom his alma mater Brock University and will focus on BC'snetminders. He has addition soccer coaching experience withEurotech Soccer Camps, Star Goalkeeper Academy, East CarolinaUniversity, Burlington Soccer Club, and the Canadian SoccerAcademy.

Fernandes resides in Greenville, N.C., and earned both hisBachelor of Arts degee and Masters of Education degees from BrockUniversity in Canada before obtaining a Ph.D. from Union Institute& University in Cincinnati, Ohio.
