Briana McClain is in her first season with the Barton women'sprogram after joining the athletics department in the summer of2011.
McClain is originally from Richmond, California and graduatedfrom Deer Valley High School in Antioch. From 2006-2010 she playedsoccer and ran track for Stanislaus State University in Turlock,California.
As an outside forward Briana was second team All-Conferenceplayer and a Rookie of the Year for her team. She was also thecaptain of the soccer team from 2009-2010, and helped lead her teamto the conference tournament in 2010.
In her soccer off seasons Briana ran track for her universityand competed in the 100m, 200m, and was a member of the 4x100m teamfor 3 years in a row.
McClain was also nominated for NCAA Female Athlete of theyear in 2010.
In 2011, McClain graduated Magna Cum Laude with her degreein Applied Mathematics, and is now working on her Masters inIndustrial Engineering from North Carolina State University. Brianaplans to achieve her Phd, and become a full time coach and teacherafter graduation.
