Tim Foster is beginning his first year as permanent Head Coach for the Barton College Men's and Women's Cross Country and Track and Field Teams in 2022-23. Foster was hired in November of 2020 as an Assistant Coach for both programs before taking over as interim in September of 2021 and then being promoted in the summer of 2022.
Foster comes to Barton after coaching stops as an assistant at Keiser University in West Palm Beach, Florida (2019-20) and Lindsey Wilson College in Columbia, Ky. (2014-19). At Lindsey Wilson, Foster was an Assistant Track and Field Coach for four years before elevated to Associate Head Coach during his final season.
Foster was part of an NAIA powerhouse track and field program at Lindsey Wilson which finished fourth in the nation in the men's 2017 indoor and the men's 2019 outdoor national championships. The women's squad also took tenth overall at the 2018 Outdoor National Championships, their highest in school history.
Foster coached 43 student-athletes to NAIA All-American honors and 55 student-athletes to NAIA National Qualifying spots including Kevin Hallman, the 2019 Men's National Athlete of the Year and the National Championship Meet MVP.
Foster graduated in May of 2014 with bachelor degrees in business marketing and sports management from Limestone College and was a Graduate Assistant for the Saints' squad during the 2013-14 academic year.
