Mike Van Horn joined the Barton softball program in August of 2018 as a part-time assistant coach working with the offense and infielders and assisting with recruiting.

Van Horn currently operates Tier One Fastpitch and is a member of the executive board of USA Softball of North Carolina.  In addition, Van Horn provides private lessons.

Van Horn resides in Goldsboro, N.C., with his wife, Beth, and their two dogs:  Theo and Judge.  Van Horn also has three children – all of whom are law enforcement officers – with two grandsons.
