Barton College

Athletic Training Mission Statement

In support of the College’s primary goals of intellectual, spiritual, social, and cultural development of its students, and in alignment with the Department of Athletics’ desire to win in the classroom, in the community, on the campus and in competition, the mission of the Athletic Training Department is to develop a program representative of these values as well as maintain a health care delivery system that utilizes best practices in order to best serve the health care needs of its studentathletes, in a manner which is most efficient and cost effective.

The Athletic Training staff will strive to provide every studentathlete with the most comprehensive, highest quality individual sports medicine health care available in a professional, efficient, compassionate and serviceoriented manner.

A program inclusive of prevention, evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation in addition to other support services will assure a positive healthy recovery experience, an improved quality of life, a safe return to full athletic participation and continued athletic success.

We are committed to ongoing evaluation of our Athletic Training Department so that our studentathletes can be assured of the highest quality in sports medicine care.

Furthermore, we are committed to addressing problems and concerns in a timely manner so the needs of our studentathletes can continue to be met.
