WINGATE, N.C. – The Barton flag football (6-1) was victorious on Saturday afternoon with victories over Wingate (38-27) and Mars Hill (69-0) at the Irwin Belk Complex on the campus of Wingate University.

Sawyer Rigdon (Wilmington, N.C.) threw for 237 yards and four scores including a pair of touchdowns to freshman athletes
Zahnia Long (Charlotte, N.C.) and
Valerie-Ange Batta (Durham, N.C.) in the win.
Rigdon also rushed for a score and the visitors picked off three passes in the triumph.
Winate's Jhenelle Francis (Apopka, Fla.) totaled 416 yards of total offense – 215 yards through the air and 201 yards on the ground – and four total scores despite the loss.

Ridgon added 274 yards passing and six more touchdowns – five through the air and one the ground – as the Bulldogs make easy work of the Lions.
Batta caught two more touchdown passes while the Bulldogs defense scored three times in the shutout victory.
Barton led 48-0 at halftime on its way to its fourth shutout of the year.
Barton wraps up the home portion of its schedule on Friday, March 27, when the Bulldogs host Mount Saint Mary's (2:00 p.m.) and Emmanuel (4:00 p.m.) at Truist Stadium.
