WILSON, N.C. – The Barton women's tennis team (12-3, 5-1) took down Converse (6-11, 1-5) by a 6-1 score on Friday afternoon in a Conference Carolinas match at Ralph L. Fike High School.
The Bulldogs were led by four players who earned victories at singles and doubles play: junior
Tilde Howeler (Stockholm, SWEDEN), sophomores
Leonie Hellum-Lilleengen (Bekkestua, NORWAY) and
Alexandra Saez Lozano (Begur, SPAIN) and freshman
Ruya Mavi (Huddinge, SWEDEN).

Irma Granstam (Linkoping, SWEDEN) have now won 10 straight matches at first doubles.
In the next round of Conference Carolinas contests on Saturday morning at 11:00 a.m., the Bulldogs host Belmont Abbey while Converse faces Chowan in Murfreesboro, N.C.
