TIGERVILLE, S.C. – The Barton women's tennis team (8-2, 2-0) won the final two matches in singles' play to beat North Greenville (1-10, 1-2) in a 4-3 thriller in Conference Carolinas action Sunday afternoon at the Vance Complex.

Tilde Howeler (Stockholm, SWEDEN) tied the score at first singles before sophomore
Leonie Hellum-Lilleengen (Bekkestua, NORWAY) prevailed over North Greenville's Naomi Sakakibara (São Palo, BRAZIL) by a score of 6-3, 4-6 and 6-4 which proved to be the match-winner at No. 4 singles.
Both Howeler and Hellum-Lilleengen won at singles and doubles play today to lead the Bulldogs to the victory.

Ruya Mavi (Huddinge, SWEDEN) are 8-1 in doubles action this year while Howeler and sophomore
Irma Granstam (Linkoping, SWEDEN) are 7-1 in doubles competition this season for the Bulldogs.
Barton returns home to take on Chowan in a league match on Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 p.m., at Ralph L. Fike High School while North Greenville hosts Emory & Henry on Friday at 2:00 p.m.
