FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The Barton women's tennis team (1-1) picked up its first victory over the season with 9-0 win over Methodist (0-2) Wednesday afternoon at the Gene Clayton Tennis Center.
Five players for the Bulldogs – juniors
Tilde Howeler (Stockholm, SWEDEN) and
Silvia Fernandez-Trabadelo (Mataro, SPAIN), sophomores
Irma Granstam (Linkoping, SWEDEN) and
Leonie Hellum-Lilleengen (Bekkestua, NORWAY) and freshman
Ruya Mavi (Huddinge, SWEDEN) – all won at singles and doubles to lead the Bulldogs.
Barton hits the road to take on Wingate on Saturday, February 17, at 2:00 p.m., in Wingate, N.C., while Methodist faces Truett McConnell in Cleveland, Ga., on Friday, February 23, at 11:00 a.m.
