ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. – The Barton men's and women's swimming hosted NCAA Division II national-power Wingate on Saturday afternoon in a dual meet in the Bulldogs' 2024-25 home opener at the Harrison Family YMCA.
On the men's side, Wingate won over Barton by a score of 122-59 while the women's team fell to the visitors, 122-63.
Barton did pick up a pair of victories – graduate student
Megan Schueller (La Plata, Md.) in the women's 100-yard breaststroke (1:09.73) and junior
Natan Alexandre (Sao Paulo, BRAZIL) in the men's 100-yard breaststroke (1:00.83) – against Wingate.
Barton next travels to Catawba to take on the Indians in a dual meet on Saturday, November 2, at the Johnson Poll in Salisbury, N.C.
