SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Barton women's tennis team (10-10, 6-3) wrapped up the regular season with a 4-0 victory over Converse (5-15, 2-8) Sunday morning in a Conference Carolinas match at the Valkyries Complex.
The Bulldogs had a pair of victories in singles and doubles play courtesy of sophomore
Silvia Fernandez-Trabadelo (Mataro, SPAIN) and freshman
Irma Granstam (Linkoping, SWEDEN).
Granstam has now won five straight matches in singles competition.
Barton, the fifth seed in the 2023 Conference Carolinas Championship, opens play with a match in the first round against No. 8 North Greenville (3-14, 2-5) on Friday at 9:00 a.m., at the Dr. Eddie Floyd Tennis Center in Florence, S.C.
