WILSON, N.C. – The Barton men's tennis team (8-8, 5-1) sent its Seniors off in fine fashion with a 4-3 victory over Emmanuel (6-9, 3-3) Monday afternoon at the Bulldogs Complex.
Barton sophomore
Johan Holgersson (Bromma, SWEDEN) and freshman
Guillem Busquets Brau (Sabadell, SPAIN) both won in singles and doubles action as the Bulldogs pushed their winning streak to four matches.
Sophomore
Hannes Tylehed (Stockholm, SWEDEN) has now won six straight doubles contests at No. 3 for the Bulldogs while the tandem of Busquets Brau and senior
Philip Nordberg (Mariefred, SWEDEN) made it four in a row at second doubles with their 6-3 win over Emmanuel's Parv Nage (Faridabad, INDIA) and Hassan Badran (Cairo, EGYPT).
Barton hits the road to take on Converse on Friday at 2:00 p.m., in a league contest in Spartanburg, S.C., while Emmanuel faces Chowan on Tuesday starting at Noon in Murfreesboro, N.C.
