Barton men’s tennis notches 5-0 home victory over league-foe King

WILSON, N.C. – The Barton men's tennis team (6-8, 3-1) won its second straight Conference Carolinas match with a 5-0 triumph over King (2-10, 0-6) Saturday morning at the Bulldogs Complex.

Barton won all five of its completed singles' matches as the doubles' contests were called off due to the threat of severe weather.

The tandem of sophomore Hannes Tylehed (Stockholm, SWEDEN) and freshman Felipe Mioch (Diemen, NETHERLANDS) improved to 4-0 at third doubles in league play this year while freshman Deni Furtado Brlenic (Alvsjo, SWEDEN) won his fourth straight match in singes' competition (all against conference opponents).

Barton hits the road to face Mount Olive on Tuesday in a league match in Mount Olive, N.C., beginning at 2:00 p.m., while King hosts Lees-McRae Tuesday at 1:00 p.m.
