WILSON, N.C. – The Barton women's basketball team (8-15, 8-8) picked up a convincing win on Senior Day with an 83-54 victory over King (5-19, 5-11) Saturday afternoon at Wilson Gymnasium in a Conference Carolinas contest.

Lauren Walker (Charlotte, N.C.) led all scorers with 20 points while freshman forward
Nyah Wilkins (Garner, N.C.) added a double-double – 14 points and 14 rebounds – as the Bulldogs swept the season series from the Tornado.
Barton raced to a 43-22 halftime lead and never looked back as the Bulldogs held a 61-31 advantage on the boards and limited King to just 30 percent (19-of-64) shooting from the field.
King was led by Tori Smiley (Indianapolis, Ind.) with 14 points and Jaden Potts (Kingsport, Tenn.) also scored in double figures, totaling 13 points on the day but the visitors hit just nine-of-32 three-point attempts and lost for the ninth time in the past 10 outings.
Barton freshman guard
Lauren Mingo (Clinton, Md.) also scored 14 points in the victory as well.
Barton remains at home to take on Francis Marion Wednesday at 5:00 p.m., at Wilson Gymnasium in a league contest while King hosts Lees-McRae Monday beginning at 5:00 p.m.
