WILSON, N.C. – The Barton women's tennis team (10-11, 5-4) gave its seniors a victory on Senior Day with a 7-0 triumph over Chowan (2-12, 1-8) Tuesday afternoon at the Bulldogs Complex.
Barton was led by freshmen
Maren Kronsbein (Ellerau, GERMANY) and
Tilde Howeler (Stockholm, SWEDEN) and senior
Isabella Caballero (La Paz, BOLIVIA). All three Bulldogs won at singles and doubles play today.
Caballero has stayed hot of late, winning eight straight matches at singles and six consecutive contests in doubles' action. Meanwhile, Kronsbein pushed her streak of victories in singles' competition to five as well.
Barton hits the road to take on Lees-McRae on Friday at 2:00 p.m., in Banner Elk, N.C., in a league contest while Chowan takes on King Friday at 1:00 p.m., in Bristol, Tenn.
