WILSON, N.C. – The Barton men's tennis team (15-7, 6-2) ran its winning streak to five matches with a 7-0 shutout win over Chowan (2-12, 0-8) Tuesday afternoon in a Conference Carolinas match and Senior Day at the Bulldogs complex. Barton is ranked No. 29 in NCAA Division II.

Diego Agudelo (Bogata, COLOMBIA), junior
Philip Nordberg (Mariefred, SWEDEN) and freshmen
Johan Holgersson (Bromma, SWEDEN),
Wilhelm Karlsson (Djursholm, SWEDEN),
Kristoffer Staahlbrand (Oslo, NORWAY) and
Hannes Tylehed (Stockholm, SWEDEN) – won at singles and doubles to lead the home team to the dominant win.
Staahlbrand has won five straight matches at first singles while the tandems of Agudelo and Nordberg and Holgersson and Tylehed have both prevailed four consecutive times at No. 2 doubles.
Barton takes on Lees-McRae on Friday at 2:00 p.m., in Banner Elk, N.C., in a league contest while Chowan travels to Bristol, Tenn., to face King on Friday afternoon starting at 1:00 p.m.
